The High Court granted Amazon’s application for summary judgment in the case of Adams v Amazon Digital UK Ltd, after Denver Dorsetra Adams, the mother of boxer Nicola Adams, sued Amazon for libel and misuse of private information over the documentary “Lioness: The Nicola Adams Story”. The court found that the statements in question were either true or constituted honest opinion and that there was no reasonable expectation of privacy regarding the information disclosed.
